There is currently a Kitchener-Waterloo & Cambridge local chapter for the Weston A. Price Foundation. The Weston A. Price Foundation is a nonprofit, tax-exempt charity founded in 1999 to disseminate the research of nutrition pioneer Dr. Weston Price. The Foundation is dedicated to restoring nutrient-dense foods to the human diet through education, research and activism. It supports a number of movements that contribute to this objective including accurate nutrition instruction, organic and biodynamic farming, pasture-feeding of livestock, community-supported farms, honest and informative labeling, prepared parenting and nurturing therapies. As chapter leader, it is my job to help people find local, seasonal, organic, and nutrient-dense, traditional foods. In this area, we are very lucky to have access to some of the very best, and most nutrient-dense foods to nourish ourselves, and our families. Please visit my resources and local food page for this information.
As a growing chapter of the WAPF, I strive to hold meetings every few months in which all are welcome to attend, eat, and learn! I will post all related meetings and events here.
