The Importance Of Priming Your New Coil

Those who are new to vaping may feel a bit overwhelmed at first. A vaporizer contains many different parts that all need to be maintained so that the device can function properly and so that your vaping experience can be as pleasurable as possible.

One of the most important parts of your vaporizer is the coil. This small little piece contains a wick that heats the e-juice so that your device will create vapor. The standard coil lasts for a couple of weeks on average and is replaced regularly.

Priming Your Coil

When you switch out your coil, it's imperative that you prime it properly. If you simply screw in your new coil and begin to vape warehouse like you usually do, you're in for a terribly unpleasant surprise. A coil that is not properly primed will create a harsh taste in your mouth and cause a burning sensation in your throat. Plus, your coil will burn out almost immediately, forcing you to purchase a new one. This can get expensive to say the least.

The reason that priming your new coil is so important is because the wick needs to be properly saturated with juice. The wick of the coil is made of cotton. If you fire your vaporizer and your wick is dry, it will burn out.

How To Prime Your New Coil

Luckily, priming your coil is a very simple procedure. Here are the steps involved:

1. Turn off your vaporizer device. Unscrew your old coil and throw it out.
2. Take apart your tank and rinse it out to rid it of any gunk leftover from old e-juice.
3. Before screwing in your new coil, apply 1 to 2 drops of e-juice to any exposed cotton on the coil. Let it sit for 5 minutes so that the juice can fully absorb into the cotton.
4. Screw your coil into its proper place.
5. Without firing your vaporizer, take 8-10 long, dry hits. The sucking motion will help distribute the juice throughout the coil.
6. Turn your device on. Bring the battery wattage down to about 10-15. Take 6 long, deep hits.
7. Turn your battery wattage up by increments of 5, taking a few long, deep hits each time until your wattage is back to where you normally have it set.

This process may sound tedious at first but it's absolutely worth it. A properly primed coil will ensure that your vaping experience is as enjoyable as possible. Plus, by priming your coil, it will last for up to a few weeks.
