IN SEARCH OF THE TRUTH
On a journey…
I have always been interested in health and nutrition for as long as I can remember. I considered becoming a dietitian back in high school. I ended up going to university getting my degree in Kinesiology and Physical Education. I volunteered as a personal trainer at the YMCA. I read all the popular health and nutrition books. I eagerly attended seminars. I felt like a kid in a candy store going to the health food store. I tried all the new supplements. Fancy multivitamins, green drinks, flavoured protein powders, soy power bars, flax and fish oils, etc., etc. I thought I was so healthy, or at least I was going to be! I went to the gym, ate healthy foods, and took really expensive supplements. I wanted to achieve a healthy weight, be fit and muscular, and live a long, and disease-free life. Don’t we all?
